“A fitted wardrobe sounded simple until we looked at the access and the existing services. We wanted to use an awkward recess for long hanging, drawers, shoes and luggage. Because the room is in Santa Pola, we asked specifically about storage for seasonal equipment; it was covered in the proposed sequence. Those constraints were dealt with in the drawings, so fitting day was calm and well organised. They did not promise that the first sketch was perfect. The second version was much better because it reflected how we actually use the room.”

The survey in Santa Pola also picked up salt and sand, which had not been obvious in the photographs. The measured proposal finally made the room feel straightforward.
